Desk Copy Requests
A complimentary desk copy of a paperback title may be requested by college and university instructors for any book adopted as a required text for course use, if 20 or more copies have been ordered by the college bookstore and if the instructor has not previously received a desk or examination copy. Upon request, we will provide an additional desk copy for additional course teaching staff (TA's) for every twenty-five books ordered or for every additional twenty-five students enrolled in a course (proof of order or enrollment information required). We cannot provide "desk copies" for use in departmental or institutional libraries.
Desk copy requests cannot be placed online, by phone, or via e-mail but should be mailed or faxed to customer service at the United States Institute of Peace Press. Requests for desk copies should be on departmental letterhead or on a standardized university desk copy request form and should include the following information:
- title of book;
- instructor's name;
- title of course;
- semester;
- name of bookstore, number of copies ordered, and date text order was placed.
